1. Scope of Services
JoinAffix provides specialized web engineering, software development, cloud infrastructure, AI code rescue, performance optimization, and technical maintenance services. Specific project deliverables, milestone dates, and compensation terms are defined in individual Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs).
2. Intellectual Property and Code Ownership
Unless otherwise specified in a custom agreement, upon receipt of full payment for contracted milestones, all custom software code, configurations, and documentation authored specifically for the client belong 100% to the client. JoinAffix retains no proprietary hold on client source code.
3. Maintenance Plans and Retainer Boundaries
Maintenance retainers cover proactive dependency patching, backup verification, uptime monitoring, and small technical bug fixes within the scoped monthly hourly allowances. Substantial new feature development, major architectural rewrites, or emergency incident recovery exceeding plan boundaries are scoped as dedicated engineering tasks.
4. Emergency Support Availability
Emergency outage support is subject to senior engineering availability. While we prioritize urgent incidents, submission of an emergency form does not constitute a legally binding service-level agreement (SLA) unless a dedicated Enterprise Retainer with guaranteed SLA response times is actively in effect.
5. Security and Liability Disclaimer
Our vulnerability assessments and security hardening services represent practical engineering due diligence. They do not constitute formal regulated compliance certifications (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) unless explicitly scoped and conducted in conjunction with accredited auditing authorities.
