The Problem
Atelier Mode's monolithic Shopify theme was bogged down with 30 third-party app scripts, causing 4.2s mobile loading times and a 68% cart abandonment rate across North American and Asian markets.

Technical Approach & Execution
Rebuilt the customer-facing storefront as a headless Next.js App Router application deployed on Cloudflare edge middleware, leveraging Shopify Storefront GraphQL API with optimistic cart state.
Headless GraphQL Storefront Architecture
Replaced heavy liquid templates with static and edge-rendered Next.js pages, utilizing ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) for instant product catalog updates.
Edge Multi-Currency & Geo-Routing
Implemented Cloudflare edge middleware that detects visitor geo-location and dynamically renders localized pricing and customs duties without client-side layout shifts.
Optimistic Cart & Instant Bag Drawer
Engineered an optimistic client cart engine that responds in 0ms to customer clicks while synchronizing with Shopify checkout in the background.
